Overview

The 2SKB-4009 ATA Short Double Rifle Transport is made for ATA 300 Category 1 specifications, ensuring the products ability to withstand 100 trips by air,the highest shipping container specification of the ATA. Capable of accommodating two rifles with SKB’s trademarked “bunk bed” storage system with foam dividers that provide a separate compartment to protect two rifles.

The 2SKB-4009 features SKB’s unique Perfect Match Valance Bending System for a perfect seal. This case is constructed of a HDPE shell with weather resistant O-ring seal, stackable, bumper protected hardware with new patented fiberglass and nylon reinforced industrial strength latches, (two non-lockable and two with locks that have been engineered for a lifetime of easy smooth service. Durable built-in poly wheels and both carry and tow handles for easy transport all come standard.

The 2SKB-4009 Short Double Rifle Transport Case is backed by an Unconditional Lifetime Warranty on the case.

All SKB ATA Hunting Cases also offer a special $1500 Content Guarantee. In the unlikely event that your rifles are damaged by airline handling while transported in a 2SKB-4009 ATA Short Double Rifle Transport Case, SKB will repair or replace your rifles up to $1500.

Warranty

Lifetime Warranty

SKB brand hardshell cases are fully warranted against defects in materials and craftsmanship for the life of the case to the original owner. That means, if your case breaks, SKB will supply replacement parts, repair the case, or replace your case for as long as you own it. Proof of Purchase is required for all warranty claims. Electronic components in SKB brand hardshell pedalboard systems are warranted for five years from date of purchase. Soft cases and gig bags are warranted for one year from date of purchase. SKB is not responsible for the shipping cost to our facility. However, SKB will cover all of the costs of repairs and/or replacements, as well as the return shipping. To request a return authorization for a warranty claim, please contact our customer service department at our online Support Request form or by calling us at (800) 654-5992.

$1500 Content Coverage Warranty

Offered with all ATA-rated SKB Sports Hard Cases, no registration required. SKB will cover up to $1500 to repair or replace equipment damaged by a commercial airline carrier while secured in one of our ATA-rated cases. If your gear has been damaged on a flight, first file a claim with the airline (SKB recommends keeping copies of all documents related to your claim and taking pictures of damages whenever possible). Once the claim has been settled, submit it and related documents to SKB for review. SKB may provide up to $1500 to cover any outstanding cost above the airline’s claim amount. SKB ATA Sport Cases are crafted to exceed the ATA (Airline Transportation Association) specification 300, category 1 rating. This specification establishes a stringent standard for transport container design ensuring the product’s ability to withstand a minimum of 100 trips by air. SKB ATA-rated cases are molded from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the material specified by the U.S. military for cases and containers built to withstand the toughest field conditions imaginable.The case color runs through the material so scratches are invisible and the “poly” is impervious to all solvents, oils, fuels and acids. Every case detail is purposefully designed to optimize function. The molded-in configuration of bumpers and ribs are designed to absorb shock and vibration as well as provide protection for exposed hardware. The ribs give the case superior rigidity and create the unique male / female mating system for secure stacking. The aluminum valance on SKB cases provides a reliable “tongue and groove” closure and a neoprene “o-ring” gasket keeps out harmful moisture. Heavy-duty, die-cast locking latches are engineered for a lifetime of easy, smooth service. These quality latches are field replaceable and are guaranteed for the life of the case.

What do I have to do before I return my case or rack for repair? Contact our Customer Service Department at 800-783-0087 for a Return Authorization Number.

Does a Warranty Card come with my case? No warranty card is necessary. Just remember to keep your proof of purchase.

Where will I find my model number on my case? It is not on your case. You will find the number on your original proof of purchase receipt. That is why it important to keep your original receipt.

How long will a repair take? Usually about two weeks from the time we receive your case.
